Slipstream training camp articles
There are a bunch of articles coming out about the Slipstream camp that is taking place in Colorado right now, all of which make for fairly interesting reading. Here are a few links:
NYT: Disgraced Rider and New U.S. Team Take the Lead Against Doping
Includes an interesting quote from Danielson, "They take away the pressure that would maybe desensitize you to your morals and make doping more of a possibility. Really, it’s a relief.”
Bicycling: Everyday Aerodynamics
About Dave Z's first ever time in the wind tunnel.
Cycling Weekly: Slipstream Camp
One writer's blog about attending the camp.
VeloNews: Tech Report: Slipstream visits the wind tunnel
More on the wind tunnel and Millar in a god-awful ugly skin suit.

The cynic in me has a lot of difficulty in believing the Millar holier-than-tho image that he now produces. Especially when he went back to Cecchini.
Would like for it to be true, but...
Slipstream's bosses seem to have a good understanding of PR. I suppose if you say something often enough it becomes true.
hah ha...classic zabriskie:
"I asked Zabriskie what he hoped to learn and, as is typical of him, he shrugged off specifics. 'I just want to go fast,' he said..."
Slipsteam is all style and not much substance - so far.
Look no further than their "JERSEY CONTEST" and the winning entry that's nowhere close to the actual threads.
oh, as bummed as i am about the jersey thing, i could hardly agree about slipstream being all style and little substance in 2007. (some would argue they have none!) (: danny pate, while among the most unexciting interviewees on earth, is a formidable racer, and frischkorn and cozza are promising (and not just for rockin' a moustache, in the latter case). that being said, i think 2008 will be far more exciting still for this squad.
